Privacy Policy
The short version
DewCroft is a fully offline app. It does not connect to the internet, does not include any advertising or tracking kit of any kind, and does not ask you for an account, an email address, or any permission. Nothing you do inside DewCroft ever leaves your device.
What DewCroft stores, and where
As you tap around the croft, DewCroft remembers which places you have discovered, which sounds you have added to your mix, and small settings like volume levels and the current stretch of land. All of this is saved locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). It stays on your device, inside the app's own sandbox, and is never transmitted anywhere.
Deleting the app deletes this local data with it. The "Hold to clear the journal" control inside Croft Keeping lets you erase your discovered places at any time without deleting the app.
What DewCroft does not do
- No account, sign-in, or personal information is ever requested.
- No network requests are made — the app has no server to send data to.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers are read or generated.
- No camera, microphone, location, contacts, or notification access is requested. DewCroft has no use for any of them.
- No content you create is shared, exported, or shown to anyone else — the journal is yours alone, on your device.
Sound
The ambient sound layers built into DewCroft play locally through your device's own audio system. Playing them does not send any information anywhere, and does not require microphone access — DewCroft only plays sound, it never listens.
Children
DewCroft does not collect any personal information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Continuing to use DewCroft after a change means you accept the current version.
